 Rich is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the National Weather Service (NWS) office in White Lake, Michigan. The NWS White Lake, located near Pontiac, has an area of responsibility that covers 17 counties in Southeast Michigan, plus Lake Huron, Lake St. Clair and the Michigan waters of Lake Erie. NWS White Lake serves these areas by issuing meteorological forecasts for the public, aviation, marine, and other private & government agencies; timely and accurate severe weather watches and warnings; hydrological forecasts and warnings for rivers and waterways; and compiling and distributing climate data. |
